Environmental licensing

Orla de São Lourenço do SulThe projects or activities that use natural environmental resources that are considered effective or potentially polluting or that may cause environmental damage, need environmental licenses to set up in the state.

Issuance of licenses, permits and other documents is done by the State Department of Environment (SEMA), which operates through the State Environmental Protection Foundation (FEPAM). The team of InvestRS and Room for Investors intermediate the investor’s relationship with FEPAM, so that the licensing happens in an agile and transparent way.

At the environmental licensing are assessed impacts caused by the project, such as potential or capacity to generate liquid pollutants (sewage and effluent), solid wastes, air emissions, noise and risk potential.
